On Time Delivery came into existence as Fred’s Delivery Service in 1954, delivering flowers and floral supplies from wholesalers in Pittsburgh to flower shops in Western Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia. After expanding our customer base and geography over the next 25 years, we emerged as On Time Delivery Inc. in 1979, winning a contract with Avon Products Inc to service their representatives in Western PA. Since then we have continued to expand by structuring services around the specific needs of the shippers. By creating unique structures for each shipper, we are able to overcome the delivery consistency and flexibility problems that shippers encounter when dealing with general purpose carriers. We deliver your product when You want it there!! We operate out of 5 strategically placed facilities across Pennsylvania, Indiana and Kentucky. All facilities are owned or leased by On Time Delivery and have dock and drive-in capabilities and extensive conveyor systems. This allows us to receive loose loaded freight from multiple sources and efficiently sort the product into the appropriate routes in addition to handling standard cross-dock operations. We currently dispatch up to 100 routes per day and make over 700,000 deliveries per year from our multiple locations for over 25 shippers
Specialize in DDU delivery, pharmaceuticals, wine and liquor. This motto encompasses our philosophy of giving you what you need, not trying to sell you what we have! On Time Delivery specializes in creating routed delivery structures that are created around the needs of the shipper and customer. We evaluate your delivery needs and create routing that delivers to your customers at a frequency and time that best suits your requirements. One of our shippers requires that each residential customer receive a delivery once every 2 weeks. For this shipper we divide our terminal delivery area into 10 zones, each of which is serviced once every 10 days. •An auto parts shipper needs delivery to be made every night to car dealership lock boxes between midnight and 8:00 AM. •A nursing home provider needs delivery 2 times a day, morning and evening to each customer. •A retail customer demands consistent afternoon delivery 3 times a week to their stores. •These cases are “business as usual” for OTD as we structure the routes and deliveries to their needs.
